Residential Sales RepresentativeGlen-Gery Corporation is a wholly owned subsidiary of Brickworks Limited. The Group has been in operation since the early 1900s, has a market capitalization exceeding $2.5 billion, and operates across 3 core business segments: Building Products, Land & Development, and Investments. The Group employs more than 2,000 FTE employees and operates nationally across Australia, recently acquiring Glen-Gery Corporation to add operations in the USA.Founded in 1890, Glen-Gery Corporation is one of the nation's largest brick manufacturers and operates eight brick manufacturing facilities. Glen-Gery products are sold nationally through a network of over 500 distributors as well as in Canada. Since entering the USA in 2018, Brickworks have acquired Sioux City Brick, Redland Brick and the distribution business of Southfield Corporation in Illinois and Indiana (Illinois Brick, Indiana Brick). The combined North American business now has more than 900 employees, operates across 40 locations, including 8 brick plants, 26 masonry supply/retail locations and 3 design studios.Residential Sales Representative will act as an ambassador for Brickworks and the Brickworks Supply Yard in Des Moines, IA. They will be asked to maintain good relationships with the existing customer base, as well as targeting new business opportunities. The successful candidate will play a key role in increasing sales revenue and profits by developing rapport and selling all our lines of masonry and ancillary products.Duties and Responsibilities:Establish accounts within the home builder community by developing long lasting business relationships with designers, architects, builders, general contractors and masonsDrive sales through strategic product placementConsistently achieve sales account prospecting and developmentEducate and inform on all Glen Gery masonry and cladding product offeringsNew Product Awareness/LaunchesHands on Demonstrations when NeededHelp in Estimating if NeededJob site visits and consultingWrite sales opportunities, quotes and ordersCoordinate with purchasing, customer service, dispatch, yard staff and other Brickworks Supply employees throughout the sales processEffectively communicate with manufacturer reps and plants on products and ordersWork hard to meet personal and team sales goals, quotas and deliverablesAttend meetings, sales events and training sessions - Some evening and overnight travel to be required occasionallyDevelop sales forecast on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basisReport and provide feedback to management teamUnderstand, learn, and potentially develop new trends within the industryAll other duties as assignedQualifications:Effective tactical planning and problem-solving skillsProven success in salesShould have good PC skills, email, Microsoft Office, and WindowsExcellent communication and presentation skillsProspecting, negotiating and closing salesBachelor's DegreeEducation/Experience:2+ years in Sales and Masonry product knowledge preferred but not requiredComputer Skills:Proficiency with word processing, email, Excel, CRM and J.D EdwardsEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
