Job Title: Travel Behavioral Health RN Profession: RN Specialty: Behavioral Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in a hospital setting License: Active compact license required Certifications: BLS, CPI Must-Have: - RN or LPN license if applicable Description: Travel opportunity in Behavioral Health. Shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Two years of experience in a hospital setting required. Candidates must possess an active compact license. BLS certification is required. Unit information includes 18 beds and 29 staff members. Day shift team includes a charge nurse, an RN or LPN, two mental health technicians, a social worker, and a case manager. Night shift team includes a charge nurse, an RN or LPN, and a mental health technician. Patient ratios are 1 nurse to 8 patients. Typical equipment includes vitals machines and EKGs. Candidates should have experience in mental health. The best personality fit is organized with good time management and an outgoing demeanor. Typical procedures involve behavioral health treatment and therapeutic groups. The unit is a locked environment for both voluntary and involuntary patients. Every other weekend commitment is required. Dress code allows for scrubs or business casual attire.
